U-14 Girls, Spring 2011
First Row: Lisa Flower, coach; Claudia Cox; Allie Annabel, captian; Carly Vreugde; Tara Quillinan; Emma Green; Chloe Cox; Abbie Seamans 2011: This was our first season at U-14 which brought new division, positions, formations, and new players together for the first time. The team embraced each other and these changes with great enthusiasm. The bonded together as a team and progressed their skill throughout the season! We ended the season with a respectable 500, 3-3-4. In each game, the competition was close and the girls played their hearts out. Also, the girls and coaches spent a week up at St Lawerence University for soccer camp together. Thank you to the parents and players for a wonderful spring season! We look forward to what indoor will bring us! 2010: The Wahoos took first place in their U-12 girls division by going undefeated! Goalie, Kerry Walker, had a shut out season in normal game play. The girls also went on to win the Mountain Mayhem and Burnt Hills tournaments. This was the season where their skills started to shin and they began to see the full soccer field. Throughout this season, we continued to work on tactical drills which they then adapted in game situations. The group also continued into indoor at the Sportsplex where they secured 2nd place in their division. Thank you to all the players and parents for their continued support! 2009: The Wahoos took second place in their U-12 girls division. This was their first year in competitive play and they all did extremely well. This year brought lots of fun and excitement that only 11-year old girls can really appreciate! They spent time together as team doing non-soccer activities, like pizza parties, swimming, tye dying t-shrits. All of these activities helped them come together as a team. In this season, we continued to work on their ball skill development and positional play. Thank you for a great season!
